THE JROTC CADET CREED

I am an Army ROTC cadet.

JROTC Overview

Army JROTC is a leadership development program designed to build citizens of character who are dedicated to bettering  their Nation and  community. The program promotes and develops the spirit of teamwork as well as learning and the application of life skills. JROTC is a student-led program with an associated progressive education and training curricula and activities that span grades 9-12. 

 

 Curriculum

All lessons are designed using a four part model to motivate the Cadet, allow the Cadet to learn new information, practice competency, and apply the competency to a real-life situation. Moreover, the four-part model requires Cadets to collaborate, reflect, develop critical thinking skills, and integrate content with other disciplines. JROTC curriculum includes lessons in leadership, health and wellness, physical fitness, first-aid, geography, American history and government, communications, and emotional intelligence.

Extra-curricular Activities

JROTC offers a variety of extracurricular activities to help Cadets demonstrate discipline, teamwork and leadership skills. Cadets can join the following teams:

  • RAIDERS
  • DRILL
  • COLOR GUARD
  • RIFLE
  • JUNIOR LEADERSHIP & ACADEMIC BOWL (JLAB)

These activities help Cadets develop their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success.

Community Service Initiatives

Cadets engage in community service opportunities  while developing social responsibility and teamwork. Our volunteer events take place during and after school and weekends.
